Miner Feinstein Architects is providing the construction administration and architectural redesign for the renovation of 2 apartment buildings, with 27- livable, fully renovated two bedroom units. The apartments will be leased to young mothers and their babies as part of a five year development process to ensure the future success and health of these young women. The bottom floor of one of the buildings will be converted from apartment units in order to serve as the Ashanti Early Learning Center.
These buildings are currently undergoing a comprehensive renovation and will be available for occupancy during the third quarter of 2011. The renovation consists of updating all of the incoming utility services, reconfiguration of a percentage of the units to accommodate disabled residences, and a full upgrade of all of the finishes, among other items.
