This property consists of two identical buildings located on Spring Road in NW Washington DC. Each building contains 15 supportive housing units originally constructed in the 1920’s. The buildings are each four stories including the basement. The renovation adds seven dwelling units for a total of 37 units. Additionally, a connection and elevator make the two buildings into one, solving a code issue pertaining to egress. The basement was dug out and a new access point built to allow for an accessible route from the street into the basement program spaces. Units are fully compliant with UFAS and comply with the requirements established by the 2015 Green Communities Standards.
