Catoctin View is an 100-unit seven-story apartment building in Frederick, Maryland. This property was originally constructed in the early 1970’s and has undergone minimal renovations over the years. The project consists of a full gut renovation of the building and replacement of all systems. The dwelling units are all reconfigured and reduced from the original one hundred units (efficiencies, one-bedroom, and two-bedrooms) to 76 one-bedroom dwelling units. The ground floor is also completely reconfigured for offices and amenity spaces. Four dwelling units, or 5% of the total number of apartment units on site, are designed as accessible for compliance with the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards (UFAS). The building conforms to Enterprise Green Communities Standards, and as such incorporates several sustainable design concepts including, but not limited to, water conservation, energy efficiency, material selections and waste management, and healthy living environment.
